Flying Too High

I'm probably going to break a few of you with this confession but... I'm not a Harry Potter fan. I've tried the books, I've tried the movies and yet nothing seems to grab me about it so I'm in that small collection of people who really don't care about it. Sorry Harry Potter fans!

However that doesn't mean I don't respect and enjoy decent cosplay outfits when I see them and FATEplay have once again outdone themselves for the Wizarding Faire with their Wright outfits.

I went for the Serpent because it was green and I'm a sucker for green but of course they have the other 3 house colours that are well known in Harry Potter including a 'By The Book' version for one of the houses that apparently is different in the movie than it is in the book.

The Swiftwind Broom is also included in the pack with the outfit or you can choose to buy it separately.

Shop Until You Drop

I think I might literally drop before I finish shopping today because I'm really not feeling very well at all. Something I ate is disagreeing with me in ways you don't want to explain so I'm curled up in a ball, sipping tea and trying really hard not to die.

However that's totally boring so I ended up doing this blog post. It's short, sweet and to the point!

The shirt and skirt are both new releases from ColdLogic. The Pirie Shirt is the Cotton version and it comes with standard sizes and a fit mesh for SLink Physique. I found that the size M fit better over my Maitreya Lara body than the SLink Physique fitmesh so play around with sizes. The Petion Skirt is the Green version. It includes two different belt colours and an option to wear the skirt without the belt too.

The hair is also a new release and s the Celeste style from Truth. You can choose to wear it without or without the cute little headband and if you do wear it then there's also a hud that allows you to change the colour.

The furniture set is the Repurposed Daybed Set from Cheeky Pea. You can find this at 6 Republic until the 27th of May. As always with Cheeky Pea you have a choice of adult or PG animations and a choice to buy each piece individually or as a set.

Oneword - Darkness - Part 1

The theme for this round of Oneword is Darkness.

Elymode surprised me with something a bit different. It definitely wasn't your usual take on the theme of Darkess but it's quite possibly perfect. I was super excited when I saw this.

Light In The Dark is a pose pack that contains six poses, the mirror versions and includes the flash lights. You have an option of the flash light being on or off and of course for both left and right hands to fit the regular and mirrored poses.

It's a super cute pose pack and great for pictures of you and your friends creeping around in the dark, being silly at sleepovers or hanging out in the woods on a camping trip. Possibilities are endless really so go mad and make beautiful pictures.

We Love RP - April 2015

We Love Role-Play is open until April 30th so you still have a few days before it ends. If you haven't been already then it's definitely time for you to go take a peek.

This pretty little Starfly Dress is from Dead Dollz and is available in three colours. I went for this delicate blue colour because it felt super girly to me.

The wings are from Sweet Lies and you can find them at The Fantasy Room after you've finished your trip around We Love Role-Play. These are actually supposed to face the opposite way but I wanted to show you the beautiful flowers in the picture so I flipped them around.

I grabbed Amadeo to be my man-prop for this pose from An Lar Poses. It's the 'Guide' pose and would just as easily work for a m/m or f/f couple too.

The second dress I grabbed from We Love Role-Play is the Elyne Dress from Pure Poison. You get three colours in the pack for one great price. I loved the grey colour but it's awesome that you don't have to choose. It's like a mini fatpack.

The Hocus Pocus pose prop you can find in the Elephante Poses stall. It has some great poses in it, all based around the cauldron. The poses are also included as separate poses too so you can use them with your own cauldron or for other pieces of furniture too.

The Aloha Fair

The Aloha Fair is well under way and it is filled to the brim with some amazing summery goodies for you to go and nab. The best thing is that along with some great exclusives most stores have put out a gift or dollarbie and some of those are equally as amazing too!

Here are some of my favourite bits...

Aris Aris have a super cute dress as their gift for The Aloha Fair.

I really like the white dress with the bright, tropical bands around the bottom. I particularly like the parrot on there.  It's such a great dress to get for 1L.

I've become a bit of a bikini hoarder. The great thing now is that there are more and more mesh bikinis coming out that look fantastic.

AUSHK'A &CO have released a bikini that comes in a few different colour packs. I went for the bright version because I love bright colours in the summer.

The Sandy Feet are a cute little SLink addition from Ama. It comes in three different colours of sand so you can use the one that best suits you skin tone or the beach that you are on. These are also a gift at The Aloha Fair.

WetCat released some great friends/couple poses for The Aloha Fair.

The first one is Warm I and the second is Warm II. WetCat always makes great couples poses and these work well for friends too. They come with the little tube of suntan lotion.

Last up is a great item for some seriously funny summertime pictures.

Ama has made this sunburn pack. It comes with a slight pink colour or as you can see in the picture... FULL ON LOBSTER! That looks like it hurts right? Ouch! You get appliers for SLink, Physicque, Ghetto Booty, Lolas, Lush and WowMeh so you can make sure all your mesh bits get a bit sunburnt too!

The bikini you can grab from Beautiful Dirty Rich as their 1L gift at The Aloha Fair.

The shoes are from Essenz and you grab these from their gatcha at The Aloha Fair. They are only 75L a try and you will need the SLink medium feet for these ones.

The Liaison Collaborative - June 2014

The Liaison Collaborative is open with it's usual collections for The Boutique, The Poser Pavilion and The Garden.

Baiastice have an absolutely stunning maxi dress in The Boutique

I fell in love with this tropical colour, but all the colours are lovely. I love the style and how it's long enough to wear without shoes. That is a definite preference for a maxi dress for me.

The hair is also at The Boutique and is a brand new release from Spellbound. They are really knocking it out of the park with their hair releases. It comes with a version that you can wear with or without the colour change flower hair piece.

A quick scoot over to The Poser Pavilion and you'll find some lovely poses from An Lar Poses.

This first post is called Catch Me. I love poses that are multipurpose. Friends, couples, siblings... all would work with this chasing pose.

Of course I grabbed Amadeo and he made silly faces. I still adore him though! LOL

The bikini is a new release from Blacklace and comes in a huge selection of colours. They had a version of this bikini out for a special a few weeks back and this is the full range. Of course I'm wearing the mesh version but if you prefer they have applier versions for mesh bums, boobs and bodies!

If you wanted something a bit more coupley then their Turning Tides pose is perfect.

I made Amadeo pretend to like me for this picture. Don't we look cute? It's a very sweet pose and will make wonderful pics for all you loved up people out there. Grab your other half and make some memories!

FATEeyes V3.0

FATEwear have updated their FATEeyes to the new 3.0 version.

This is great news for everyone with the 2.0 as you get a free update! YAY!

If you didn't nab the 2.0 version while they were out, then I'm about to show you what you're missing out on in the new 3.0 system.

Brand new textures, features and endless ways to customise them. What more could you possibly want. I can only cover a TINY portion of what is available for you so I suggest you grab a demo and have a play around with it to see what you can come up with.

You can get your basic eye colours

You can even mess around with effects like cracks, sparkles and even make your avatar cry. The tears are actually animated and ripple along the lower lid. (the tears on cheeks are a tattoo layer from Izzie's)

Maybe you play a non human character for RP or just love some weird eyes. You can make all sorts of different crazy eyes with this hud.

Or if you want to freak people out with zombie eyes...

I think I actually freaked myself out during this. Rage zombies are scary.

Bad To The Bone

The Dark Style Fair is for those of you with a wilder, darker side!

My dark side is usually kept under wraps but every now and then she shows her face and gets a little wild.

You don't want to know how I ended up covered in blood splatters, but if you want to end up covered in them too then Ama has a full body blood tattoo. It comes with SLink appliers for hands and feet and also Wowmeh appliers for those of you with a mesh bod!

The Morphine dress is from Lady Luck at The Dark Style Fair. It was a great price too and I really liked the neck and shoulder pieces.

While I was there I grabbed these boots for the bargain price of 90L from the American Bazaar gatcha. I got the 'fun' version but there are plenty of ones, I'm sure one to suit your style.

I also nabbed this great hair from Little Bones. I loved the shaved side but I had a little but of trouble with the hair bases that came with the hair. I fiddled for ages trying to tint a hair base to match but I felt it didn't work well so I slapped on a hair base from Exile (this is the cranberry one) and it seemed to match much better.

There are free hair bases from Truth and Exile available in their stores so I'm sure you'll find a hair base to match whichever colour hair you choose.

The pose is from Exposeur, also at The Dark Style Fair, and comes with this vicious bat. It might be how I ended up with blood splatters all over me...

Also from Exposeur is a couples pose called Hell And High Water.

I had to grab Amadeo to pose with me. Since he made the awesome blood splatters and because he's bad to the bone like me!

Okay well... maybe that's not true. We're big softies at heart!

FaMESHed - December

FaMESHed has blown it out of the park this month. The creators have really outdone themselves!

There were so many great choices that my wallet is definitely empty.

First up we have a jacket and skirt from Baiastice.

I really like the floaty, frilly nature of the skirt. The jacket comes with or without a shirt underneath and the undershirt is colour change.

I teamed it with these strappy sandal heels from LaRoo. They come with the feet and they have an easy skin picker option so no more tinting!

The hair is from Wasabi Pills and comes with the adorable colour change bow attached. I'm loving that Wasabi Pills has now started suiting me more these days.

I love the slinky look of this skirt from Emery. It's smooth and sexy and I might grab some more colours before the next round, but the black really caught my attention.

The shirt is also from Emery and I think this is a perfect basic shirt that can be teamed with anything from a skirt to jeans... so a great addition to your inventory.

The necklace is from Maxi Gossamer and comes in a short and long version and colour change metals and stones.

These boots from Mutresse are a gorgeous shape and the texturing is amazing. You get a full fat pack of colours and you can change separate parts of the boot to mix and match anything you like.

Amazing price for some amazing quality boots.

This dress for Coquet really caught my eye. The basic black dress comes with a white under dress with the black wrap over dress.

The peach and black lace under dress comes on a separate hud that can be purchased separately and there are several colours to choose from.

The jewellery set are another amazing release from Maxi Gossamer. The metal and stones change colour and you get both earrings and necklace in the set.

The hair is the group gift from Truth, so if you haven't received it yet then it's time to head down to Truth and slap the scribe for it.

Because I'm not the only shopping fiend in my little circle of friends, I had to grab them for the picture.

Cat is wearing the new shirt dress from NYU. It's adorable lovely and casual.

Valentine is sporting the new release from Ispachi. It's a sweater and shirt set with a colour change hud, so you get the full fat pack for the bargain price.

The Boys In Blue

There's not much more attractive than a man in a suit.

Recently there's been two absolutely stunning suits released for men. One from FATEwear and one from Zaara.

Of course the men I hang out with love to shop. It's why I hang out with them.

So when I saw this pair in these suits I had to force them to pose for me so I could blog something for the guys for a change. Not that they put up much of a fight!

Amadeo is wearing the new FATEwear suit. It comes with a colour change option for the shirt and the tie and in those pinstripes he's looking a little bit 10th Doctor, don't you think?

Valentine is wearing the Zaara suit. It also comes with a colour change hud for the shirt and tie. It's a delicious sleek suit. I was very impressed.

FaMESHed - October

FaMESHed opened it's doors for it's October round on the 1st and there's lots of awesome goodies to snap up, including some stuff for guys!

I love seeing stuff for men at these big events. It's good that they get a look in too.

Of course I grabbed my two favourite men and demanded they get dressed up for a picture. I'm a little bit bossy. I think it's the librarian look I was working... the power went to my head.

Not that I'd ever argue at posing with these two... RAWR!

Both Kauna and Ispachi have out done themselves for this round of FaMESHed. I know both of them ended up with both of these shirts and luckily there was no arguments over who got to wear what!

Zodiac Gemini

I saw this pose when I visited the new round of Zodiac yesterday. I immediately pictured it with me and Valentine.

He's a pain in my SL ass and I like how it almost looks like we're fighting, but affectionately!

I've been a fan of Exposeur poses since I first discovered them during a Pose Fair. I think it might have even been the first Pose Fair. I lose track of things so quickly in SL.

I Want To Fly Away

Still hoping for some warm weather here so in the meantime hanging around on warm, springs sims is making my toes feel less frozen.

This adorable spring dress is from Sakide and is only 90L in the Perfect Wardrobe event. It comes in Rose or Lavender. Real girly colours for those girly days!
